The eye of the universe gazes into forever, it sees the good, the bad, the rises and falls. The eye of the universe stares down on a dying star, watches as it explodes, consuming the system around it and leaving trails of stardust. It turns its gaze to a spaceship, cluelessly buzzing around many different planetoids exasperatedly searching for the correct one to land on because the co-pilot forgot the map. It turns once more and gazes at a pale blue dot, on that dot is a boy desperate to ask the universe a question, “do you see me?” The eye of the universe wishes it could answer, only reality didn’t see fit to give it a mouth. The eye of the universe gazes into forever, it is a thankless job.
